Tesla Roadster -- n/a bhp, 250mph (claimed)
Making no sound at all, on the other hand, is Tesla's first entry into the supercar bear-pit. This 's fine though -- Twitter and internet forums create more than enough noise to compensate for the silence of electrical motors. If the new Roadster ever does see the light of day, we're guaranteed a 620-mile selection, functionality to embarrass a Bugatti, and all for a relatively reasonable $200,000. It could be a utopian supercar. All Tesla has to do is bring it to market on time.
Jeep Trackhawk -- 707bhp, 180mph
Bear in Mind that the Dodge Demon from a few slides ago? The madder, badder Hellcat? Course you do. Now imagine the quantity of horrid light beer consumed with the person who developed the idea of slotting the 707bhp version of said supercharged V8 to the Jeep Grand Cherokee. This, not the Lamborghini Urus, is the most effective SUV of 2017. 'Murica one, Italy, nil
Bentley Continental Supersports -- 700bhp, 209mph
Bet you'd forgotten about this one. Yes, just before Bentley wowed us with all the sleeker, more raffish brand new Continental GT, it created a Supersports version of the incoming vehicle. And the headline was quite simply this: seven hundred horsepower. And that's appropriate Victorian British imperial horsepower. It's not the most populous car on this list by a perimeter, but that really is actually the reigning rate champ among Bentleys, and incongruously magnificent consequently.
Mercedes-AMG Project One -- 1,000bhp , 217mph
No-one out of AMG has yet driven the Mercedes F1 car for the road known so far just as Project One, but its stats are suitably barmy to create the cut in this list. Revealed in time for the 2017 Frankfurt motor show, the ultimate AMG guarantees to launch from 0-124mph in under six seconds, which means that thanks to its AWD hybrid traction, it'll eliminate the line as quick as a real F1 car. While, ideally, creating a much neater noise...
Koenigsegg Agera RS -- 1,340bhp, 277mph
It's not annually -- believe it or not -- which you get a fresh fastest car in the world. Many talk the talk, but few actually set off at a direct line with timing gear and cameras on board to take on the challenge. This year, Koenigsegg did just that on a closed street in Nevada, also averaged out 277mph from the process.
